Gog‘s a Title of the Antichrist.
Who the Gogs are goes way back to Japheth, after the flood.
The following seem to be the same Biblical character:
Beast, Antichrist, Little Horn, Lawless One, Son of Perdition and ‘Prince Who Is to Come.’
And possibly also the the Assyrian, from the Book of Daniel.
It was a bit amazed when I first learned that the Antichrist is one of the Gogs.
It means the world won’t necessarily have to wait until after the Gog-Magog War before expecting the Beast to be revealed! That’s because the Gog-Magog war may lead directly into Armageddon, since both wars are led by Gog the Antichrist.
He could already be known, to the people in the organizations who are preparing his way!

27.0 Glory of God, Beyond the Veil
To review Gog passages in the Bible, see Joel Richardson’s well documented video:
It covers everything except for the Messianic prophesy of Numbers 24:7.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F199jXhmIMU.
So, let’s examine the Messianic Numbers 24:7 prophesy:
Balaam, a man who knew YHWH and was gifted with the spirit of prophesy, nevertheless corrupted his gift to make money. He mixed it with divination and was not concerned with truth. Around 1440 BC, when the Israelites were in the dessert, near the end of their traveling toward the promised land, Balak the King of Moab was concerned. He offered Balaam a high price by to prophesy bad things against Israel, essentially to put a curse on them.
But, God Almighty sent His spirit so strongly into Balaam so that he’d hear and not be able to resist telling the truth about the greatness of the future seed (King) of the Messianic Kingdom of Israel. 7 times God made the truth come out of Balaam’s mouth, including when he said:
27.1 Glory of God
I see him, but not here and now. I perceive him, but far in the distant future.
The distant future was the Messianic Era.
After Balaam the prophet made the 7 true prophesies, against his own will, he wanted to get even, so he conspired with Balak, the King of Moab, to lead the Israelites into terrible sin.

Balaam’s main messianic prophesy:
He makes water flow from his buckets, And his seed [is] in many waters; And his King [is] higher than Gog And his kingdom is exalted. A star will rise from Jacob; a scepter will emerge from Israel. It will crush the heads of Moab, cracking the skulls of the people of Sheth. Numbers 24:7 & 17 LSV

The verse that you just read, Numbers 24:7, is the Literal Standard Version, which is unique in that it draws upon both the Septuagint and the Masoretic texts of the Old Testament.
27.2 Glory of God
In the Septuagint version of this verse, ‘Gog’ is the title of the final enemy of Israel.
But, most English Bibles on anyone’s bookshelf today say Agag! Why?
The Hebrew Bible was ‘revived’, long after the Hellenistic period ended. The Rabbinical Jews prepared a Tanach (Old Testament), in a Hebrew called the Masoretic text. It was probably completed in the 10th or 11th century, although it wasn’t published until 1524. They substituted ‘Agag’ for Gog.
Why?
The Messianic theme of this passage was extremely touchy with them because they crucified God’s Son. In the New Testament, the Jews are the ones God holds responsible for crucifying His Son. His name: Yeshuah in Hebrew (Savior) Mashiach (anointed one) or Jesus (Savior) Christ (anointed one). God the Son is the Worthy One: the exact likeness of YHWH in the flesh, perfect and sinless.
27.3 Glory of God
Unfortunately, almost all available Bibles, even the King James Bible, used the Masoretic text as the only source from which they’ve translated the Old Testament!
Hello Proofs!
The complete James Moffatt Bible got it right, it says ‘Gog.’ See verse 24:7 in the photo below:

Proofs continued . . .
Here’s the passage in the Koine Greek Septuagint: It’s good to look at the verse, then scroll down a bit and see: Γωγ = gōg.
https://www.blueletterbible.org/lxx/num/24/1/t_conc_141007.
This link contains the entire Numbers 24 chapter in Septuagint Old Greek. It’s for proof. Check out verse 7 look for the word Gog in Greek: Γὼγ

And here’s an English translation (by John William Wevers) directly from the Septuagint. It’s the entire Book of Numbers:

Scroll way down to get to chapter 24.
I’ve been trying to find it in the the Dead Sea Scrolls (4Q27) but the Numbers 24:7 verse seems to be missing from the fragment! (Hmm, I recently found out that chapter 9 of Daniel is also missing – hmmm, other highly sensitive Messianic passages!)
Gog is the Beast

The world will be awed by the rapid revival of the 7th head of the beast. It’ll be the Islamic State/Caliphate coming in great power. https://biblia.com/bible/nkjv/revelation/13/3-4
The world will be frightened by its threats, and seduced by its power, wealth, deceptions and influence.
27.5 Glory of God
It will be greatly overbear upon the world, its preeminent power.
In St. John’s vision from the Lord, which he described in the Book of Revelation, the seven heads of the Beast in chronological order represent:
1. Egyptian,
2. Assyrian,
3. Babylonian,
4. Medo-Persian,
5. Greek,
6. Roman and
7. Islamic empires.
They were the great gentile empires of middle Earth and were also the main historical enemies of Hebrew Israel.
In St. John’s vision, the seventh head of the Beast suffered a fatal head wound.
That’s the Islamic Caliphate, which ceased to exist in 1924 after the Ottoman Caliphate was defeated in WW1. It was decapitated when its head (Caliph) was replaced by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, a secular president.
27.6 Glory of God
The decapitation of the Caliphate is the fatal head wound.
It was a seemingly fatal head wound in St. John’s vision. But, St. John also saw that the ‘seventh head’ will be revived (a caliph will arise again), and he will be called the ‘eighth head’ of the beast.
St. John wrote that the eighth head will replace the seventh head; It will be ‘of the (spirit of the) seven’ and will drive the whole Beast.
It will be the Beast, the ultimate Beast which will reign for 42 months of the 6,000 years that God Almighty allotted to mankind’s rebellion.
It may have its most severe impact on the ‘greater MENA (Middle East North Africa area), at least in the beginning, because the concept of ‘the world’ in the Bible is from the vantage point of Jerusalem. The territories/ethnicities of the end time Gog coalition of Ezekiel 38, are most of the nations directly surrounding Israel today.
But people of the whole world will succumb to the ‘Beast’ and worship him, or submit to him in other ways, such as bowing down to him or his image. The true living Almighty God will allow the satanically empowered Beast Empire to become the preeminent world power, for that short time, in order for it to fully express its evil intent against God and God’s people to its own utter condemnation. It’s also being used to try the Jews, bringing 1/3 of them to salvation.
When the cup of its wickedness reaches fullness, Jesus Christ will return to conquer and overthrow it, the entire Beast system and all the multitude of its followers. He’ll throw the Beast and his ‘false prophet’ into the ‘lake of fire,’ which was made for satan and his fallen angels: burning torment without end. The Beast’s followers will be degraded and killed, but they won’t be judged until after the Millennium, at the Great White Throne.
