Righteousness, Power, Amazement!
Revelation 19:11
Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities (Satan and his fallen angels), he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

John 5: 22-23 “For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father.
Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.”
Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God.
Revelation 4:4-5
10.8 Glory God Beyond
Who are the 24 Elders in Our Holy Father’s Throne Room?

They immediately believed and became covered by His blood. Then Jesus brought them to God our Father’s throne room as the first fruits offering of the Barley Harvest of Saints.
Only after examining every theory out there in great depth, did I come to that conclusion, but only after the Holy Spirit spoke to me. The 24 elders were never seen in the Old Testament visions of God YHWH’s throne and its surroundings.
10.9 Glory God Beyond
The 24 Elders as the First Fruits of the Barley Harvest of Souls:

10.10 Glory God Beyond
1 Corinthians 15:20-26 ESV
But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.
Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.
The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
Rev. 4: 9-11
. . . the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”
10.11 Glory God Beyond
At times, God has considered certain men to be in His divine assembly.

For example, the ‘gods’ of Psalm 82. They aren’t the same as the 24 elders. The Psalm 82 ‘gods’ were unrighteous, the 24 elders, righteous.
10.12 Glory God Beyond
Psalm 82
God presides in the great assembly; He renders judgment among the ‘gods.’ “How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked “The ‘gods’ know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. “I said, ‘You are ‘gods’; you are all sons of the Most High. But you will die like mere mortals; you will fall like every other ruler.”
Jesus told us who the ‘gods’ of Psalm 82 really were:
Jesus answered them (the Pharisees), “Is it not written in your Law (Psalm 82) ‘I have said you are “gods”’? If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be set aside – what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world?
10.13 Glory God Beyond
Isaiah 24:22-23
“In that day the Lord will punish the powers in the heavens above and the kings on the earth below. They will be herded together like prisoners bound in a dungeon; they will be shut up in prison and be punished after many days. The moon will be dismayed,
the sun ashamed; for the Lord Almighty will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem,
and before its elders—with great glory.”
Before I found out who the 24 Elders really are, the best candidates were the ‘elect angels.’ I’ve left some remnants from the prior argument below because I think the subject still glorifies Jesus Christ!
From Moses’ song:
Deuteronomy 32: 8-9 “When the Most High apportioned the nations, when He divided humankind, he fixed the boundaries of the peoples according to the number of the ‘gods’ (Elohim); the LORD’s own portion was his people, Jacob his allotted share.” (The Septuagint translated Elohim to angels.)
10.14 Glory God Beyond
Jesus Christ put all the Principalities to Shame:
Colossians 2:15
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Colossians 2: 10-14, 15-17
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
10.15 Glory God Beyond
And having spoiled principalities and powers, he (Jesus) made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:15)
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. (Colossians 2:16)
The last enemy to be destroyed is death. “For God has put everything under His feet “Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. (1 Corinthians 15: 26-28)

7 Blazing Torches in Front of God’s Throne.

This is a fascinating topic:
St. John saw the seven blazing torches and was told they’re the seven spirits of God. Is that description only focusing on the oil part, since oil represents the Holy Spirit in the Bible? Isn’t the living WORD Jesus Christ the actual light part? But wait . . . there’s no light on lamp stands unless their oil burns;
Let’s examine it:
It makes sense that together the lamp stands symbolize the entire church – all 7 categories or types as described in Rev. 2-3. At the time of St. John’s throne room vision, each lamp stand was in the blazing state desired by God, at a time when they all will have sufficient holy spirit oil, which has been ignited, and flames are being fanned; And all 7 in unison are shining forth the light of truth into the dark world; So it must represent the mature church that Jesus Christ died for, His bride. I think the fact that all 7 are lit shows she’s mature, although she remains on Earth. That means the blazes on the torches serve as a barometer in God’s throne room; It’s indicating to all who’re in the throne room that it’s time for the Lamb of God to take the scroll from His Father’s hand and to begin breaking the seals; thus the 24 elders broke out into song praising Jesus for purchasing ‘them.’ And YHWH handed the scroll to His Son, the Worthy One, His Perfect Sacrificial Lamb.
10.17 Glory God Beyond
Jesus Christ said something to St. John, 8 verses prior to that, which was before St. John ‘looked’ and ‘saw’ an open door in heaven and heard a voice like a trumpet saying “COME UP HERE” and immediately went ‘up’ to God’s throne room: St. John wrote down what Jesus said in Rev. 3:
10.18 Glory God Beyond
Here’s what Jesus Christ said:
“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write”
These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.
I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept My word and have not denied My name. I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.10Since you have kept My command to endure patiently,
I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown.
The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
10.19 Glory God Beyond
The ‘open door’ concept is described twice in a row:
first in Rev. 3:8 and then in Rev. 4:1.
The greater context is that the Book of Revelation opens with St John’s vision of Jesus Christ walking among 7 lamp stands; Jesus Christ tells us what they are:
I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lamp stands, and among the lamp stands was someone like a son of man, dressed in . . . (It’s Jesus in His Glory.) The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lamp stands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lamp stands are the seven churches. . . (Rev. 1:12-13, 20)
. . . Then Jesus gives a ‘progress report’ to each church. At the end of each progress report, seven times, He concludes with, “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
10.20 Glory God Beyond
After that, St. John is transported to heaven and he sees this:
From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven torches were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God. (Rev. 4:5)
In St. John’s first vision on the island of Patmos, he didn’t mention if the lamp stands that Jesus walked among were lit. The focus was on the churches. A church isn’t the flame, but the device that holds up the oil, and the flame, bit only if it’s lit. It’s the responsibility of a church and it’s congregation to spark and fan the flame and not quench the Holy Spirit?

I like this picture; but there’s no need for each of the seven lamp stands have more than one lamp.
10.21 Glory God Beyond
What sparks the flame and what fans the flames of the Holy Spirit to make a blaze?
Jesus seems to have said that it’s listening and hearing what the spirit says to the churches.
To Ephesus, Rev. 2:7, “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.”
To Smyrna, Rev. 2:11, “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.”
Pergamum, Rev. 2:17, “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.”
To Thyatira, Rev. 2:26-29, “To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’ – just as I have received authority from my Father. I will also give that one the morning star. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
To Sardis, Rev. 3:3-6, “Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. . . . Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. Hold it fast, and repent. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
To Philadelphia, Rev. 3:11-13, “I am coming soon. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
To Laodicea, Rev. 3:19-22, “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
10.22 Glory God Beyond
The rewards Jesus promised point to the time of the end of the age:
The Church of Philadelphia was given the promise by Jesus that they’d be kept from the hour of trial that was coming upon the whole world; So, the 7 churches must be representative of all the churches that continue to exist through time until the end, because the hour of trial that comes upon the whole world is either in the great tribulation or the greatest tribulation, which is God’s wrath.

Immediately after Jesus finishes His evaluation of the Church of Laodicea.
Recap: In Revelation 4:1, St John looks and sees a door: “After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

10.23 Glory God Beyond
. . . Rev. 4:2-3-5, “At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits of God.”
I think the seven fold spirit of God is eternally present with God Almighty, but, He can be represented in different ways, for example the seven eyes in the head of the Lamb of God also represent the seven spirits of God.
In Rev. 1, what’s not mentioned then is whether or not the lamps were lit.
. . . turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lamp stands, and among the lamp stands was someone like a son of man . . . . Rev. 1:12-13
10.24 Glory God Beyond

Does the presence of the 7 blazing torches/lamp stands in God’s throne room, show that the church will have already have been redeemed (removed from Earth) before the Lamb of God takes the scroll from the right hand of our Holy Heavenly Father?
(Don’t be confused by this picture, St John didn’t see two menorahs in Gods throne room, it’s just an artist’s rendition. Symbolically it makes sense because of the two covenants which are two betrothals.)
Considering our precedent – The Earthly Temple of God. Did the flames of God’s heavenly menorah go out when the flames of the earthly menorah went out?
I’m not implying the Holy Spirit would cease to exist; That’d be absurd!
What I’m suggesting is only about the device reflecting the condition of God’s relationship with His betrothed, in real time as she was on Earth: When she wasn’t in best standing with Him, the flames would grow dim; After they crucified Christ, the flames went out for the 40 yrs until God destroyed the temple.
It’s historically true and recorded in the Talmud: The flames continuously blew out for 40 years until God sent Titus to completely destroy the second temple.
Was there a transfer in heaven, of the representation of the flaming glory of the Holy Spirit as He’s reflected by His covenant people in seven fold manner?
Was the transfer from the physical menorah of the Old Covenant temple, which was only a shadow of the things to come . . .
. . . to actual groups of Holy Spirit filled believers who, upon coming together and unifying in any of the churches (of the the seven fold church model) contributing to jointly upholding the collective flame of that church – replenishing the oil and sparking and fanning the flames?
I think so. . . . . .
10.25 Glory God Beyond
Something very significant happened after the Lamb of God took the scroll from His Father’s hand, but before He broke the first seal. The 24 elders sang “You have made them (not us) to be a kingdom of priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” Notice that it’s in the past tense ‘you have made. So Jesus had already ‘made’ His kingdom of priests, but that doesn’t necessarily mean His kingdom of priests had been transported to heaven, in their glorified bodies, before the time when the 24 elders sang their song, as the 24 elders could’ve known that Jesus’ Kingdom is ready just by observing the quality of the blazes on the 7 torches standing before the Lamb. If the bride of Christ had already been transported to heaven, why wouldn’t they have literally been seen in heaven by St John, similar to how he saw the tribulation saints standing before the throne of God at the sixth seal?
Finally, Jesus Christ will Rule the World as King Over All Nations.

And, His beloved resurrected saints will serve Him faithfully on Earth, as judges and priests for a thousand years. Some will be made kings over the remaining nations.
10.26 Glory God Beyond
He’ll rule His Millennial Kingdom with an iron rod to fulfill God’s promises to Abraham. And, He’ll defeat all remaining dark powers and authorities before returning the universe to God His/Our Father.
Differing interpretations of Isaiah 24:
My interpretation is that Jesus Christ will, with great power, rapidly and supernaturally, repair and greatly revive this Earth, eliminating all nuclear radiation and toxic waste, etc. in order that He may delay it’s His final destruction until after His thousand year Millennial Kingdom reign has been completed.
Only then will God create the New Heavens and New Earth.
In response to the other interpretation,
I don’t think it’d make sense for the promises God made to Abraham not be fulfilled on this same Earth. Part of the Glory of Jesus Christ is He has the power and He will demonstrate that He can turn this corrupt fallen world into a just world. The following article on Isaiah 24 shows the viewpoints.
