Seven Moedim Prescribed by YHWH in Torah

It’s been long anticipated that the next appointed time to be fulfilled by Jesus Christ is Yom Teruah (day of shouting), which is usually called the Feast of Trumpets, or just Trumpets.

That word translated as ‘feasts’ actually means ‘times’ in Hebrew. ( מוֹעֵד _{^{Strongs 4150}} )

Yom Teruah is the real name of God’s fifth holy convocation (appointed time), 4 months after Pentecost & 10 days before Yom Kippur.

The question: What is the fulfillment of Yom Teruah?

Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I (Jesus) have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”

On the surface, it seems obvious that God’s final three appointed times will be fulfilled when the church age ends, because the church age is represented by the gap (see charts) between the last Spring appointed day ‘Pentecost’ and the first Fall appointed day ‘Trumpets‘.

So it seems that the final three appointed times, will be observed only after a ‘dormant season,’ and that the appointed times were designed that way by God Almighty, in order that they may also serve as a foreshadowing, informing us that Jesus Christ will be away for awhile, before returning to complete the fulfillment of Torah.

In 2023, the Yom Teruah was observed during the time of the United Nations SDG 2030 Agenda, Action Weekend, the two days preceding the SDG 2030 Agenda, Summit, in which a strengthening of a prior 7 yr. covenant with many was signed by 193 nations including Turkey, Iran and Israel!

5.4 Glory God Beyond

The SDG 2030 Agenda is, at the least, a major foreshadowing in its timing and scope:

It set the platform for the next major world changing UN agreement, The Pact for the Future, that not only strengthened it, but was called the biggest power grab in history by Federalist Magazine. I’ve not seen anything about a deadline on Pact for the Future, but I’ve come to understand that the deadline could have been set by God Himself. What I’m saying is that no agreement made in the 70th week of Daniel can possibly last more than 7 years because God is consummating this era at the end of the 7th year! (Old Greek Daniel 9:27 translations seem to support this reading.)

It initiated the ‘peace and security’ mantra and set the stage for the UN to superseded the powers of individual nations with The Pact for the Future, which was signed a year later on Feast of Trumpets 2024!

The Feast of Trumpets is traditionally observed with 100 trumpet blows. Its ultimate purpose can be understood to be for the sounding of alerts, to those who are listening, in the final week of years of this age. In other words, it might have always been God’s purpose to use it to alert his saints to the progression of important end time events, including agreements of great magnitude, each building upon the other toward the dividing of His land Israel and possibly even Jerusalem.

Addendum: Dec. 2024: The Old Greek version of Daniel 9:27, the version quoted by Jesus, is about three times as long. It provides much more interpretive leeway, possibly allowing for it to be a series of agreements leading to the rebuilding of the 3rd Temple. Since it seems to be occurring that way in the world, I’ve occasionally been calling them ‘domino agreements.’ Not any one by itself sets off the 70th week. My calculations seem to clearly indicate that final week began with the Great American Eclipse, with the SDG 2030 Agenda occurring six months before that and the Pact for the Future occurring six months after it.See posts:

Let’s also keep the 2020 Abraham Accords in mind and the likelihood that the Abraham Accords pt. 2. is coming right up, although they might call it by another name. 7 additional nations were apparently ready to sign on when I wrote this, but more has happened since them . . .

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farmhand quotes words from the Pact for the Future: “the two state solution is the only viable path to lasting peace in Middle East.”

Action on the so called ‘two state solution’ is be fueled by the fact that the UN Pact for the Future gave rise to unprecedented UN power. Many UN nations acted on their new combined power right away, gathering three times, the third was a high level special council for the purpose of deciding exactly how to wield their power to divide Israel. But, they were delayed over a month because of the Iran Israel War. So now they’re waiting . . . The regular September UN convening is close, Australia and Canada said they’d be signing on then, but with some conditions. That was leaving the United States and Germany as the only powerful countries not ganging up on Israel. But, that support too is fading fast.

The UN’s intention is decisive action on Gaza. I think Trump would have liked to beat them to it with the Abraham Accords pt. 2. The UN certainly didn’t know about the Trump Gaza plan when they arranged the special conference nor did they know that the Arab League would come back with, a 53 billion dollar plan to rebuild Gaza! Partial fulfillments and foreshadowings:

In the Old Covenant, in the Temple in Jerusalem, the appointed days were prescribed holy convocations with God. They derive their main design and meaning because they reflect God’s Heavenly Temple and its related holy practices, even as they apply to God our Father’s plan for Earth.

God Almighty may have appointed the earthly version of Yom Teruah to the Israelites to foreshadow the world changing events that would one day take place, such as these agreements.

Has the First Seal of the Restrainer been Removed?

If any one or all of the trumpet blows of the Sept. 17, 2023 Yom Teruah heralded the beginning of the removal of the restrainer when Jesus Christ broke the first seal of the scroll of the Deed to the Earth, then I think it’d also have been the ‘coming out’ marker of the waxing little horn/future antichrist!

It really seemed like the beginning of the Day of the Lord, the Time of Jacob’s Trouble was looming in 2023.

The Hamas attack at the Nova Event took place only 19 days after the SDG Agenda 2030 was ratified, and now the whole world’s talking about WW3. I wrote about the little horn mostly in posts 12 & 14.

Dec. 2025 update: Since I started this post in 2023, the Nazi spirit has nearly consumed the whole world. Although God has allowed this because of the continuing rebellion of the Jews against Himself, immediately after Armageddon and Jesus Christ’s triumph over satan’s Beast system and false prophet, Jesus will severely judge the nations at the Valley of Jehoshaphat.

The true Church must absolutely not join the world against the Jews, because we’re the grafted on branches of the Olive Tree of Israel by our faith in the true Jewish Messiah, the son of God. WE are the hidden Israel, but the Biological Israel is our roots and Israel the land will be our homeland during the Millennium. We are Ester, she’s our model. Get ready, Jesus is coming very soon and so is the final showdown between good and evil!

If the 7 yr countdown has begun, we need to be ready every day! We the church, have been most of the branches of the ‘Olive Tree of Israel’ since 70 AD. Let’s smash our olives (consume/masticate the WORD of God, who is Jesus Christ – remember He said ‘eat Me’) to prepare extra oil for our lamps and to burn shining the light of truth unto the world! Now! Let’s FORGIVE everybody! MAINTAIN clean garments! STAY AWAKE! KEEP our EYES on the KINGDOM! And, by all means, GET EXCITED!

6.The Day No Men Knew

Yom Teruah is a God appointed holy day of shouting and trumpet blowing.

Most people call it the the Feast of Trumpets.

Yom Teruah comes to mind when we read these rapture verses:

1 Thess. 4: 16-17, For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

It’s pretty clear now that Christ won’t be gathering His bride on a Yom Teruah. But, it’s been a high watch date every year. For more on that part of ‘the day no men knew’ discussion see the bottom of this post.

Yom Teruah which was traditionally observed with 100 trumpet blows, with the first and last soundings being special long blows, had traditionally been called the, ‘the day that no man knows.’ It’s a Hebrew idiom:

It was the only Torah appointed-day that began exactly when the ‘new moon’ was sighted by two witnesses from Jerusalem.

The people of God had to be on their toes, because the festival was a special High Sabbath Day.

6.1 Glory God Beyond

It can be quite difficult to determine the first sliver of the month when the sky isn’t clear. Some months have two invisible moons in a row, and also in certain months, the first sliver is very thin. The first sliver is also challenging to see because it appears low on the horizon. Modern astronomers call the unseen moon a ‘new moon,’ but for the Israelites, the first sliver was the new moon. It would’ve been very festive to sight an invisible moon.

Contrary to what some Bible expositors believe, there’s no mention of equinoxes in the Torah. God’s Torah calendar used a different way to prevent the first month, Nissan, from slipping into Winter. They added an intercalary month called ‘Adar’ in the years when Spring hadn’t yet sprung and barley heads hadn’t turned green at Winter’s end.

That was how it was supposed to be, but the Israelites greatly corrupted the calendar God’s gave them, by changing their New Year to the Fall.

Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets, was never supposed to be the first day of the seventh month. Today they call it Rosh Hashanah which means ‘head-of-the-year,’ but God’s Rosh Hashanah is in Spring. Although the barley ripening method was still used to adjust the moon cycles with the sun cycles, their Torah calendar was very corrupted. The ‘head-of-the-year’ was supposed to bring forth memories their exodus from Egypt. It was a time to get focused on Passover and the related Spring holy convocations with God, in the temple. And the mysterious meaning of Yom Teruah was lost on them. It became a silly confetti throwing, noisy, meaningless secular event, even a parade of rebellion at times.

In addition to moon sighting, the determination of the exact day upon which Yom Teruah would be observed was left up to authority’s discretion. They would sometimes use the event as an excuse to add an extra day between the end of the previous civil year, for various reasons, including a misplaced fine tuning of the time differences between the lunar and solar cycles.

As mentioned above, the Winter’s end add on leap months were an attribute they kept from God’s Torah calendar. The scribes and priesthood still tried to somewhat keep the Torah calendar, even until the 2nd temple was destroyed, but it was very perverted by the populace who were celebrating Rosh Hashanah in the Fall! Perhaps that’s why there’s no record of Jesus attending Rosh Hashanah in the Gospels. Most Jews modern don’t even know what we’re talking about when we mention Yom Teruah or Feast of Trumpets.

Fall Festivity

After the destruction of the second temple, Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets, became utterly supplanted by the spirit of the celebration of rebellion and a false new year, although trumpets are still blown.

Yom Teruah, which means day of shouting and trumpet blowing was commanded by YHWH in Leviticus 23:24 and Numbers 29:1:

It was commanded to be observed by Hebrew Israel as one holy day. And it’s the only holy convocation for which God gave no clear reason for its observance. That’s part of what makes it so mysterious! I believe was always foreshadowing the urgent warnings that will take place in and around the final years of Daniel 9. The fact that it precedes the ten solemn days of repentance leading up to the Day of Atonement gives us an ominous clue that that Yom Teruah will be used as harbinger in the end times to alert us that the Time of Jacob’s Trouble is drawing near.

It’s become well known that it was also a common phrase among the participants of Yom Teruah to utter ‘no one knows the hour’ regarding when the last trumpet will be blown. That was part of the intrigue as they approached the dark night.

Trumpets as Mysterious Harbingers

According to the Gregorian calendar, yet still based on the imperfect Hebrew calendar used by Chabad, the date/time for the conclusion of the observation of the Feast of Trumpets 2023 was Sept. 17, the second day of the Rabbinical calendar new year. And something very notable occurred that I call Jesus’s Midnight Portent, a foreshadowing of His Midnight Cry.

The trumpets were blown the day before the UN SDG 2030 Agenda Summit began and the next day, the major agreement was ratified. see

On October 7, 2023, 21 days after those trumpets were blown, and 19 days after the SDG 2030 Agenda was ratified, Hamas brutally attacked Israel at the Nova concert.

There was also one of God’s celestial signs: Comet Nishimura reached it’s perihelion on Sept. 17, 2023 while it was passing through Leo, representing the Lion of Judah on its way to Virgo, which represents Israel in the Rev. 12 and Purim signs.

Regarding the Sept. 17, 2023 date I gave above for the Midnight Portent, I said it happened on the ‘conclusion of’ Yom Teruah? Why? Wasn’t it commanded by YHWH as one appointed day? Wasn’t the last trumpet of Yom Teruah supposed to be blown only on the first day of the month?

Ancient traditions developed, for Jews outside Israel, to the extend nearly all Torah holy convocations by an additional day, because of great difficulty keeping track of a Jerusalem-centric lunar calendar from afar; They didn’t want to inadvertently miss the actual day that God commanded. That’s why our calendars for 2023, not only show both Sept. 16 and Sept. 17 as Feast of Trumpets/Rosh Hashanah, but no trumpets at all were blown on Sept. 16 this year because it fell on a weekly Sabbath.

Strangely not blowing trumpets when the Feast of Trumpets falls on a weekly Sabbath came to be the tradition, despite the fact that Feast of Trumpets itself is a High Sabbath, in which trumpet blowing was commanded!

Although Hebrew days begin at sunset . . .

. . . when we refer to Hebrew days by the Gregorian calendar, we go by the date that corresponds to its ‘daylight portion’ otherwise it gets confusing. Example, when we refer to ‘Sept 16’ as the first day of the Hebrew month of Tishri, it’s understood that Tishri 1 actually began, not at midnight, but about six hours before that, at sunset (literally on Sept 15.)

Metonic Cycle

Despite the fact the Jews had the mathematical, Metonic Cycle calendar, possibly as early as around 380 BC, which may have assisted the heads of diaspora Jewish communities in keeping track, they decided to keep on observing the extra days for their supposed holy convocations.

A very good thing is that at the time Jesus walked the Earth in the flesh, they still hadn’t considered the Metonic calendar to be completely reliable and so were continuing to add leap years at the end of Winter. This information was very difficult to come by; It turns out to be important in knowing all possible dates upon which Christ was crucified.

Not until the fourth century did Rabbinical Judaism fully institute it. But, Rabbinical authorities invented statutes to artificially constrain the days upon which the Feast of Trumpets could start, to Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays, in order to keep other high holy days of that month from falling on ‘undesirable’ days.

The Rebirth of National Israel in 1948. . .

Regarding calendars, if that’s not enough, and there’s actually a lot more, including missing years on the Anno Mundi rabbinical calendar. One thing that really demonstrates the degradation of Torah holy convocation time keeping, is that even since the ‘Fig Tree Generation’ put forth its tender shoots and leaves, The Nation of Israel was re-established in 1948, the Feast of Trumpets is still celebrated for two days even IN ISRAEL!

1 Corinthians 15: 51-52, Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
