The satanic spirit of Babel was passed on to many of the pagan cultures that developed after God confused the languages at the tower of Babel.
Nimrod The son of Cush and thus the great-grandson of Noah, was the king in the land of Shinar, “a mighty hunter before the Lᴏʀᴅ who became mighty in the earth,” and a symbol of defiance against God. He induced idol worship directed toward the Mars idol.
Through Mars apotheosis Nimrod also believed himself to have become the god Marduk. In this way he established a state religion at Babel/Babylon and Assyria. Marduk worship was nearly monotheistic for a time in those area; He was also associated with Jupiter. The satanic myth that went along with each, Mars and then Marduk, was that each one was the one who created everything: including humanity; Each was also the ‘god of war.’ We know it’s Satan who wants to take the place of the true God who created everything, and take credit for everything. Marduk was frequently imaged with a serpent/dragon servant. Marduk actually meant bull or calf, but he was commonly referred to as Bel or Ba’al, which meant Lord.
After the real God Amighty took action over the tower of Babel and confused the languages of humanity causing the people to scatter, the Marduk creator/war character spread everywhere. He became called Enki in Mesopotamia. He morphed into the later the Baal cults: Chemosh (Moabites), Milcom (Ammonites) and Chronos (Carthage), all which required child sacrifices. From the Greeks, there was also Zeus who was modeled after Marduk because they believed he was the creator of everything and also the war god; His temple was first built in Pergamum, the place Jesus Christ called the ‘seat of Satan’. That temple was moved stone by stone to Berlin, and a larger copy that was based on it was used by Hitler to give his speeches. The Roman version of Marduk was called Jupiter, the highest god in their pantheon. I can see a lot of serpent imagery with both Zeus and Jupiter. Jupiter was considered to be the equivalent to the Greek Zeus.
In Saudi Arabia he was called Hubal who was called Allah, because Allah just means ‘God.’ Hubal came from one of the Ba’als in Syria and was also a moon god.
